¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[It's one of those chilly nights where the wind blows too strongly and the clouds appear dark enough to suggest a coming rain. People pull up their collars, wrap their coats around themselves, and hurry to seek shelter, but not Kiyeon. While people hurry past with anxious glances at the sky, Kiyeon's standing in the middle of the sidewalk with a stack of fliers in his hands, looking like he'd rather be anywhere but there.
He's not entirely sure how he got into this situation. One minute he'd been walking by on his way to grab a bite to eat, the next, a kid who couldn't have been older than fourteen had shoved a bunch of papers into his arms and pleaded with him to take over. Something about needing to go to the bathroom and that he had to get all the fliers out or else he'd get into trouble.
It had all happened so fast. He hadn't even gotten a chance to protest before the kid had dashed off. And Kiyeon had waited... and waited... and figured it wouldn't hurt to mindlessly pass some of the fliers out as he continued to wait.
Only it's been about twenty minutes now and a part of him knows he's been had but the other part of him tells him to stand there, that the kid could come back any minute now. And it's the latter that he decides to listen to because he's always been soft, especially for kids.
When he spots the next person coming his way, he sticks out a hand holding a flier to stop them as he tucks the rest of the stack under his free arm.]
Please take this.
[Unfortunately, he'd never bothered to check out the fliers or the fact that they were advertising a night club. Look, it wasn't his fault he was too distracted keeping an eye out for that kid to notice the scantily clad women displayed on the front.]

People usually took the fliers and hurried off without a word, most likely ditching them in the nearest trash bin. So when he hands out the next one and the guy stops to stare at it, Kiyeon doesn't know what to do. Was he supposed to explain? The other boy clearly looked puzzled by the flier so maybe there was an obligation to help out here.
... So Kiyeon glances down at his own stack to see if he can gather some kind of coherent idea on what it is these things are about and oh. Oh no. His mouth drops open and he jerks forward, slapping a hand down over the women on the flier the other boy's holding.]
How old are you!?
[Panic laces the edge of his voice because what if this guy was a minor?? Kiyeon gives him a quick once-over in an attempt to gauge age but all he sees is... a tattered mess. And suddenly he's got more things to worry about.]

Look, he's the leader of a pack that lives in the wilderness. He's seen naked women a number of times, even if they don't really look anything like the women on the flier. It's not that shocking, just confusing. What's the point of it? Why is he being given it?
He freezes at the question though, because he honestly can't say with any certainty how old he is. He's got a vague idea, but he's lost count along the way. It's not like werewolves that live more like wolves than humans really keep calendars with them. ]
... Twenty?
[ The uncertainty is not helping him, but at least he looks ballpark the age he just guessed at. ]

That's good. You can keep that, then.
[He offers a tense smile, still uncertain about meeting another of his kind, but it falls when he gestures to... well, all of Dohyun. Kiyeon's former pack had lived in the city, close to humans. They'd made a point in blending in with them so as not to attract attention, only heading out into the wilds when the full moon drew near. To see another wolf in such a state was uncommon for him, made him think there had been trouble.
It's just like him to feel concern for a stranger and while he'd rather not stick his nose into business that wasn't his, he couldn't ignore this either.]
Did something happen? You aren't wearing shoes.

Dohyun is only used to wolves who roam free, and while older members of his pack had mentioned there were wolves who would wander into the city and never return, Dohyun had trouble wrapping his head around what kind of life they'd make for themselves here. For someone who wasn't born a werewolf it's kind of remarkable how easily Dohyun adjusted to his new life, and how hard it was to imagine ever going back to his old one. Then again, he was a small child when it all happened.
He glances skeptically at Kiyeon's own shoes, and his demeanor changes in an instant. He's not someone who seems confused and uncertain around a member of an alien species, there's a lot more confidence in his tone now, though it still sounds guarded as he gives Kiyeon a more careful inspection. ]
Why would I? They'd just get in the way.

The two of them certainly are different. While Dohyun's demeanor shifts to one of confidence, Kiyeon remains stiff and awkward. He's a lone wolf, has been for quite some time, and coming across another wolf, one that smells of a pack, has him on edge. His old pack had frequently chased off wandering loners from their territory, rightfully suspicious about a wolf without a pack... rightfully cautious about all the things that could mean.
Still, he tries for a brave face. He'd made sure that he hadn't entered hostile territory when he'd entered the city, so he thinks he's alright for now.]
Okay, [he accepts the reason easily, taking care to even his voice despite the discomfort he feels.] I thought maybe you might have gotten into trouble.

The neutrality is strange though. Usually it's easier to read if someone is friendly or dangerous pretty quickly, but Kiyeon is giving him nothing to work with. He might be more confident than he can handle this fight, but he's more on guard than ever at the possibility of a fight happening. ]
What kind of trouble involves shoes?
[ He... he's 100% serious and genuine with that question. He doesn't get it. ]

You... could have been mugged. [ And then a bit lamely, ] Shoes are valuable.
[ The longer this odd conversation draws out, the more he wants to leave. The usual insecurity of being a lone wolf becomes almost overwhelming in the face of another like him. He doesn't want any trouble and he can see the confidence building in the other wolf and it worries him. He doesn't know this strange wolf. He doesn't know what could set him off or if he really even needed an excuse to fight Kiyeon. Thankfully enough the full moon is a while away so it wasn't like Kiyeon was going to lose control if a fight broke out, but he'd certainly sustain injuries that he couldn't afford to have right now.
His only thought in this moment is to be as nonthreatening as possible, to be a forgotten speck of dust in the wind as soon as they part ways in the hopes that a pack wouldn't come after him. ]

Why are they throwing them out if they're valuable?
Better question, why does Kiyeon think that Dohyun would wear any shoes worth more than like ten dollars? Judging from the way he dresses it's pretty clear he's a bargain bin only kind of guy (or more accurately a dumpster dive only kind of guy).
At least while he's puzzling this out it doesn't look like Dohyun is going to attack Kiyeon. Not that he planned to anyway. ]
But they don't look shiny?
[ Isn't that what humans usually judge value by? Is his whole world a lie?? ]
